• EXCLUSIVE TRUFFLE HUNTING IN THE CRETE SENESI HILLS

A brisk morning walk thru the woods of San Giovanni D’Asso, where you will discover the secrets of the Crete Senesi territory and the jewel hidden underground, the prized White truffle of the Crete Senesi during fall and winter, the Marzolino truffle in spring, and the Scorzone black truffle in the summer.

You will be greeted by a professional truffle hunter and by his dog, his super cute truffle sniffing four legged friend that, without him, no truffle could  ever be found.

The truffle hunter will give you a detailed explanation of how the truffles forms underground, how to take care of the surrounding environment to help the formation of the precious tuber, how to dig it out of the ground and finally how to consume it and enjoy its unmistakable flavor.

After about 2 hours immersed in the lush forest following dog’s sharp sense of smell, you will return towards Montalcino,  where finally you will have the pleasure of savoring the freshly found truffles prepared for you at a beautiful winery.
